Born and raised in Mexico City. Three jobs shaped how I know this place: journalist (I've written about it), tour guide (I've walked it with strangers), driver (I've cut across it at every hour of the night). Different windows onto the same city - and all three led me to the same conclusion. The best of CDMX isn't what the top-10 lists show. Maybe is the local markets, with the food and colors you haven't seen yet, the cantina that hides a piece of the popular history of this city, for these reasons I extend to you an invitation to walk with me around the corners of the many neighborhoods.
